Down the road is Pandanus Lagoon where I saw a couple of cranes fly off.

I headed out to Verdons Lagoon crossing a muddy looking water crossing but it was quite firm and had no problems getting through to the campsite … no decent shade so I soon headed back to the main track.

Crossing into another section of the park I stopped at Governors Waterhole for a look and the clutch pedal was getting low again.

I continued on to Horsetailer Waterhole and had to stop and start in gear to turn around.
I don’t think anyone has been here this season as the track was gone after the rains.
I decided to camp here and see what the clutch is like in the morning when its cool.
Very nice spot to camp under all the shade but there was no breeze and a few mossies around.
After dark I spotted a couple of set of eyes on the far bank in the water so not a good place to go swimming.

I drove back through the Archer Bend section then the Coen section and turned left for the Langi section.
Night Paddock Lagoon is closed off and Langi Lagoon has a gate on it so i continued on to Old Archer Crossing, the track up the other bank is unused and very steep, would be hella hard to get across the soft boggy sand in the river even if the track went on.

I stopped at Jerry's Lagoon for a look. The people camped there said they had not spotted any crocs in the few days they were there ... but :?
