Inland from Harvey Bay in the Wongi State Forest Is Wongi Waterholes.
the campsite sits beside a short section of water of the longer chain of separate waterholes and is mostly bare dirt but has a toilet block and cold shower.
Dogs are allowed but fires are not.

I had a quick paddle in the canoe but found the water didn't go far in this section so opted for a walk around the chain of waterholes.

After some rain saturday night sunday dawned clear and i found an old homestead ruins on the other side of the waterholes




i headed back to camp and made the long journey home
