Andrew Drynan Park, near Rathdowney.
Headed south after work on Friday taking the Lions road turn off before Rathdowney and arrived at Andrew Drynan park under 2 hours later.
The park already had several camps set up so luckily i can camp comfortably on a side slope.
the fire was soon lit and i settled down to watch the darkness decend as the sun was setting behind me on the other side of the hill.

My bed was facing away from the sun so i stayed in bed for a couple of hours after sunup until my body ran out of coffee and i had to get up and make room for more.
I set up the awning for a bit of protection from the heat of the sun but its a Kings brand and UV rays go straight through it so i soon got a bit red and had to chuck a shirt on.
Set up the fire in case i decided to have a cooked lunch.
A coffee van turned up at about 8am and parked beside the new flushing dunnies.
i walked up to the top of the park where there is some great camp spots but its been roped off probably because of the fenced grey water sprays.

I headed back to camp and relaxed until Jeff arrived and we soon headed across the road for a soak and a chat in the creek ... magic

water temp was perfect.
i pissed myself laughing when Jeff discovered he had forgotten to pack his comfy chain then found he had forgotten to pack the pasta for his pasta salad ...
until i found i had forgotten to pack my Sausages for dinner
oh well ... there are sausages in it

I was up at first light for a coffee while i watched the sun make a lazy appearance.
The golden hour lights up the camp
After breakfast Jeff headed off and i relaxed for a while under the shade of the awning.... until i started turning a lovely shade of red
Damn that useless piece of Kings crap .... only bought it because no one else made a sailtrack awning and i'm regretting it now.
i decided to pack up and head home before i started glowing.
