This challenging track rewards walkers with views from the mountains to the coast. Challenge brings other benefits too − with fewer visitors, areas along the track remain largely undisturbed and have an abundance of wildlife.
The Cream Track passes through Serenity Farm, a private property whereby a permit is required to traverse this upper section of the trail. Lawful access to the private property portions of the Cream Track (Lot 1 and Lot 3 on SP180551) has been temporarily granted by the property owner Realcal Pty Ltd. This is contingent upon walkers obtaining a permit.

WWII Military History of the Cream Track...
Originally little more than a single track sufficient to support the journey of a pack horse laden with cream transported from the Mountain to Mudgeeraba over 100 years ago, the old original track was later used by cedar getters in the 1920-30s and again during World War Two by both Australian Infantry & the American 5th Platoon 2nd Reporting Company 565th AW Bn to allow passage to military jeeps, soldiers and other equipment stationed on the farm for observation and strategic purposes.

Early morning rain made it a bit of a challenge as the track is steep and clay based, Ron decided he would not take the challenge and dropped me off at Springbrook then went out taking pics before driving to the end of the track to pick me up.
As we ascended the mountain we drove into the clouds.

Ron dropped me off at the end of the road near Goomoolahra picnic area where The Cream Track starts.

Not far down the track is a path to the lookout ... not that it was much of a view.

Back to the track and I continued on
