Big Red Board

I had checked out some camps in the Lost Valley area but all were either full or over crowded so headed further south pulling in to Urbenville Forest Park to camp the night.


Next morning I headed off through the mists of Northern NSW towards Old Benalbo

I crossed the new bridge over the Clarence River and headed upstream to make camp.


It was still early and the heavy dew was still hanging around

This Dragonfly had been stuck in a spiders web which i had walked through, it took quite a bit of work to untangle its wings and abdomen as the web was so strong i was afraid i would rip its wings off to get it off ... it managed to fly off when i was done.

I managed to get this Damselfly in flight at F2.8


then changed to F8 and got a still shot when it landed

Sunday dawned and the flooding river had risen 80 mm overnight


After lunch I headed down to Tabulam to check on the progress of the new bridge and found it now in use.


Sadly they have dismantled the historic old bridge




I stopped at Bonalbo for a look at an old engine then headed for home.
