Big Reds Camp 23-4-21

Post by Big Red »

Anzac Day long weekend gave me the chance to head down to my secret camp and just relax after my action packed holidays.
I arrived friday night just after dark and due to the fog didnt bother getting out of bed until about 10am
Cobbler pegs have invaded the campsite and the big old dead tree had finally fallen down blocking the out track ... also noticed there were all new pine tree saplings planted in the paddocks.

Water was pretty brown looking and level was up

Had a visitor wander through camp

I wandered out to Taloom Falls for a look

Looks like National Parks have taken over the free campsite and as per usual have stuffed it up blocking off the best campsites so there is only half the sites left

i'm sure national parks make these "Improvements" to make it less attractive to keep visitors away

The Falls were running pretty hard and lots of fog around gave it a dreamy look.

Took the scenic way home through Kyogle and Murwillumbah on Monday morning.
Fog was still hanging around in the valleys.
