Friday 12-11-21:
Straight after work on friday afternoon I braved the traffic and headed North to Gympie and grabbed my last KFC for a while before heading to Rainbow Bay to refuel.
I had booked a site at Pelican Bay Campground but could not find it on any of my maps so drove out to Inskip Point to try and find it with no luck.
I headed back and drove toward Bullock Point and spotted it 50 metres from the turn off … may have been called Bullock Point Campground on my older maps.

I found a spot right beside the water and set up camp for the night. Phone signal was very poor and only had the one mossie but set up the flyscreen just in case.

Saturday 13-11-21:
I awoke to a pretty nice sunrise then packed and headed to Inskip Point to wait for the ferry.

A couple of other cars had camped on the beach and soon joined me to wait until the ferry arrived at about 6:15.
We boarded and received our tickets then climbed up to the bridge to pay on EFTPOS while we ferried across.
It was around 3 hours before low tide but had no probs on the way up the eastern beach.
I stopped for a look at Poyungan Rocks.

Re: Fraser Island 12-11-21
In the afternoon I headed off for a walk to The Wungul Sandblow and I decided to walk the circuit and nearly lost the light on the way back … the sandblow was all uphill in soft sand and my calves were killing me by the time I got back, a hot shower was a warm welcome to my aching old body.

We cooked up some dinner with no breeze to worry the camp stove before retiring fairly early.

Sunday 14-11-21:
We had a leisurely start to the day and headed down to Cathederal Beach Resort to buy some internet and a coffee so we could book our next camp at Woralie Creek.

We headed down the beach to the pinnacles and took Woralie Road across to the west stopping in at Lake Allom to see the turtles .
