I was going to pop rivet a bracket to the sides of the Korr 170 watt solar panel but it was double skinned with a gap and was scared i would pull the panels apart when the pop rivet tightened so sealed it back up.

I rearranged how i was going to mount it and used an angle at the front and a C channel at the rear to mount the panel to the roofracks on the cab.
I had to get some shorter pop rivets then used them through the single skin on the bottom of the panel.

Clears the canoe fine and is angled for better wind resistance and sun direction.

Also fitted an Itech 1420CA-PRO start battery under the bonnet as an Auxillary battery in parallel with the under tray one.
this one can handle winch duties as well as the heat under the bonnet.

I did fit a protection panel to minimise heat from the turbo and exhaust radiating to the battery to help longevity.
