Not far away on a rise i checked out Highfield.

headed in to Smithton and tooke the road to the far North West point but you can only get there on a tour so headed back to Smithton and over to the West Coast.
I didn't know it at the time but this was as far North as i could get Legally!

Didn't see much to look at on the Bass Hwy drive over but found a nice, but crowded, campsite at Green Point.
Camped on a fair sideways angle but slept great.

After a good nights sleep despite the angle i took a few more pics and headed around the road to the Slaves bay area.

Not too far away is the West Point which is the most Westerly Point of Tasmania, I spent a fair bit of time wandering through the Tiger Snake infested area looking for the remains of the West Point Lighthouse ...
when i found it there was a road right beside it so i drove my car around there and enjoyed the spot out of the wind.
