Big Red's Camp 26-6-20

Post by Big Red »

26-6-20 Friday night headed down to Big Reds Camp and set up beside the creek

Woke to a foggy and chilly morning so went back to sleep until the sun made an appearance about 11:00 and lack of coffee forced me up.

It turned into a beaut day being a bit chilly in the shade but nice and warm in the Sun so I went for a walk

I rigged up a pulley with a rope around it then pulled it up near the branch and rigged up a hook to hold a Solar Shower bag that can then be pulled up above the head for a shower.
I then dug out the bank to fit a wooden floor to stand on.

Plenty of water nearby for the shower bag

Along with the Dunny the campsite now has all the mod cons.

Saturday night around the campfire was quite pleasant

The clouds had rolled in so very few stars were visible when you looked past the rosy red glow of the firelight on the trees above

Sunday morning dawned with an occasional light drizzle wafting over me as i sat around the campfire

I packed up camp and headed through Urbenville towards home passing this funny looking building

Had no problems with Border Control and enjoyed the views along the way afterwards.
