Bald Rock 27-1-22

Headed off on Thursday to meet some friends down at Bald Rock for the weekend.
Left about 5PM and headed to Paddy's flat in the rain and pulled up there for the night.





Dumbass killed a healthy green tree and it wont even burn




River is well up.



Water is pushing up through the bridge.

I drove down to Tenterfield, grabbed an Apple Turnover then headed up to Captain Thunderbolt's Hideout.

Just up the road a bit is the tank traps. They have installed several new ones close to the road as these had deteriorated so much you couldn't see them.

I rocked up to the Bald Rock Campground and picked a spot near Kemsley with Jeff arriving a short time later.







Got to try out my new Webber nonstick Frypan ... works perfect, with the removable handle removed it fits inside the windguard.

Weather wasn't great so we sat around yakking until the next day when Josh arrived ...
I then took a chance and headed up the Rock on saturday arvo ... half way up the rock face i wished i had taken the longer but easier route... its steeper than it looks!

I finally made it up to the summit.

back at the rocks with the sun getting low behind me i saw rain coming so found a sheltered spot in the rocks and settled down to wait it out.

Next Morning while waiting for the tents and campers to dry Kemsley and I drove over to Boonoo Boonoo Falls for a look.

After packing up I headed to Undercliffe Falls for a look.
