I headed down to Omeo for Breakfast then turned North for Falls Creek and stopped at the Ruined Castle for a look.

I then headed up to the highest point you are legally allowed to drive to in Australia, Mt Mackay, and settled down to relax.
I had a lot of trouble trying to get the starter to work this morning so parked on a hill so i could roll start it if needed.

Awoke to a beaut day if a little chilly but it soon warmed up and i caught up on my processing and uploaded a vid as i had 4 bars of 4G.

I took a few more pics and headed south back down the mountain and took the long windy way to running creek then turned left, crossed the range and camped at Tarrawingee Bushland reserve, it was bloody hot so nice to have a river to swim in.

On the other side of the Ovens River is a mining set up that looks abandoned.

Nipped into town for supplies and to make use of the facilities ... could not find a new kettle though but the leak has eased up on old faithful so not a real drama.

Looks like Mossies are a problem here as i see on the sign when i arrived back.

Sitting in bed this morning and cops pulled up … had to put some pants on and have a chat, apparently they were looking for a bloke and his dog but i told them i hadn’t seen anyone except Zanna who is camped not far from me. Went for a bit of a walk and spotted this trailer so found a phone number to ring them up as it appeared to be stolen … turns out old mate had a psychotic episode and smashed/ threw all this stuff everywhere then attacked his father etc etc … cops have spotted him back at the house so should be over soon but better stay another night in case … Zanna has a dog but he’s a pretty friendly dog so might not be much protection.

There looks like the remains of a wharf in the river just upstream of my camp.

Had a weird noise beside my canopy and found some Cicadas had crashed landed while mating ... they were stuck together for about half an hour.
Stayed another night.

Was up early and packed up, headed back to Elmore but about 40 Kms beforehand the #6 Injector line cracked again.
The replacement i ordered a couple of weeks ago had arrived already so i just kept driving to Elmore.
This time I decided to order the support Brackets and rubbers as they were missing.
Might have to make an extra support for the end of the #6 pipe to see if i can improve on it.
