Bindaree Falls was a little further on

I continued on to Craigs Hut for a look around.

I drove on and stopped at King River Hut for a look.



I headed to Lake Cobbler and camped near the hut on the waters edge ... very nice spot to camp even if it was raining.

Sunday 29th:
I packed up and headed down past the Pikes Flat Hut.



I drove down to the Upper Jamieson Hut.

I drove on up past Tunnel Bend where they had diverted the river to dig for gold in the riverbed.




I stopped at the famous old servo at Woods Point [where i went to school when i was about 5]

I headed up to Matlock where i used to live and took in the views from one tree hill [which now has houses on it]

I took a side track down to the All Nations Mine site




then had a look through the Matlock Cemetery.





and finally the site of where our house used to be in the main street.

I headed out to Mt Matlock for a look at the tower

I headed towards Warburton stopping at the "Big Peninsular Tunnel" for a look.




just down the road a bit is the "Small Peninsular Tunnel" ... i had a quick look in the fading light and decided to camp the night and have a better look in the morning.

Monday 30th:

A few people came in late and rolled their swags out but they kept it subdued and didn't disturb me.



I took an early morning walk back down to the tunnel.
