East Coast Road Trip 29-4-22

I drove out to the old Whaling Station for a look

I drove out to Boyd Tower but the road was closed so walked out and the carpark area was also closed , tried accessing it from the beach but it was too steep and waves to high to get there.







I then headed over to the Navy Wharf for a look.

I drove out to Green Cape Lighthouse past Disaster Bay Lookout for a wander around.

not far away is City Rock.













I wanted to get to Cape Howe but thats not looking possible without waalking so this might be as close as i can get.

I headed over to Pulpit Rock and pulled up stumps.
even spotted a Lyrebird but it was pretty dark and most of the pics are blurry from it moving.

Saturday 14-5-22:

walked down on to the rock ledge for a few pics before hitting the road out.

Got out to the bitumen then headed through the fog to the highway where i stopped and uploaded yesterdays pics.



Spiders web collected the mist



This looks like a good shortcut



Hmmm .... maybe not.



OK, not getting past this burnt out bridge so backtracked and found a dodgy track around on to another track.



Now they tell me



At least all that growth in the middle of the dodgy tracks cleaned the underside

I headed up to Mallacoota Lookout.







I drove down over the border following a track to try and get close to Cape Howe [the Vic /NSW border at the ocean] but found private property or locked gates on every track i tried.

I drove through a few deserted Logging operations, some had barriers with UHF radios in little boxes so you could call the operators.
All were very muddy and slippery.



I crossed the NSW/VIC Border again, luckily no one stopped me.





Since i am now in Victoria and on the South Coast i will continue this trip report here > viewtopic.php?f=2&t=84
