Travelling up Cape York 1-8-22

Monday 1-8-22:


As i was packing up the Ranger came round and said "Technically your not allowed to stay here as your not a RV as you don't have an inbuilt toilet".
I told him my dunny was on the roofrack but it wasn't a real problem as he was nice about it and i was just leaving anyway.
I drove up to Grassy Hill to have a look at where i was heading to.

I had a look around the waterfront, filled with water, food and fuel and headed north

Next stop was Endeavor Falls.

I stopped at Isabella Falls for a swim and pics.

I crossed the Normanby River on its unique concrete base then checked out some camps but lake Emma is now day use and Leichardt is closed so looked at Lake Emma, then Horseshoe then Welcome before continuing on.

I stopped in at Old Laura Homestead for a look around.

I drove to Laura and made camp in the bed of the Laura River.
