The track was narrow and tight between the trees but after a km or so got back on the old Bertihau track and got going … was not long after where I had to leave that track and headed through the bush again following pink dots on the trees to avoid going into the nature reserve.
I caught up with the Landy boys and followed them for quite a few hours twisting and turning, scraping mirrors and body work on trees etc … mostly 1st or 2nd low all the way.
We missed a turn at a creek crossing but found a new way round it to get back on the Bertihau track again and met up with the new track on the other side, The landy guys had had enough and followed the main track but I left them there and turned left on to the new track.
The scrub got a bit thicker and the trees bigger so there was more twisting to avoid them and then there were boulder fields as well keeping it idling in first low, just when it opens up on dried out swamp the pigs have ripped it up and it has dried into a hard rough maze of holes so its just as rough as the boulders. Crossed a few creeks but they were pretty much dry.
The sun was setting so I pulled up and cooked dinner, I was going to camp but the mossies were ferocious so I drove on in the dark … not the best idea as I hit a low branch and broke the milk crate on the roof and then I came out on a station track … after about 15km I came to a property and asked a lady if that was the new track … apparently I missed the sharp turn back when I first hit the station track but she told me to follow her road out to the main road.
I scooted up the road and a bit past Bramwell found a camp for the night near the start of the Telegraph Track.
Been a long days drive and arms are aching from all the steering, not a track I want to do again.

Saturday 13-8-22:
I nipped back to Bramwell Junction to pick up some more milk and found the Landy mob camped there, they had gotten in around the same time as me but had made a new track to avoid Bertihau.

Once again I headed North and found a line up of about 6 cars trying to get through Palm Creek and a wagon and Tvan stuck on another hill and had been winching for quite a while.
Luckily the Tvan was nearly up so when he moved I had a crack at that line, wasn’t to be as I just chassied out with the front wheels over and had to winch to drag the Ute up and off the chassis.

Now being in front I had a great run to Ducie Creek which looked bad and deep but was easy enough.

Nth Alice Creek had an easy way but I was already on the hard line so dropped carefully over the edge with the front wheels hanging and dragged the chassis off the rocks into the water easily.

I got to Delhunty River and had the place to myself for a couple of hours before the mobs arrived.

Very nice to have a bucket wash and select my site while no one was there.
