Headed down over the NSW border to Big Reds Camp with a beaut sunset along the way


took a bit of a wrong turn on a new way into camp in the dark and nearly tipped the Ute on its side but kept it upright to the bottom of the hill then had to scramble over a heap of felled timber to get back on the proper track ... no damage and made it to camp with no more dramas. lit the fire and camp was now complete.
Woke sat morn to a cloudy day so took the canoe for a spin down to Taloom Falls but didn't take the Camera


Taloom Creek was down a bit and a lot of the small scrub had died off opening up the views

Just relaxed for the rest of the day and cleaned up a few prickly weeds and bushes to keep them at bay in the future.

Sunday morning i drove down to Taloom Falls with the camera, bugger all water flowing as the level is down below the concrete so the only water getting past is through cracks under the wall.

Someone has vandalised the campsites cutting down trees and laying them over the well used cleared camping spaces leaving only the 5 sites that had a BBQ ... lucky that !!

I headed back to the Gold Coast dropping past the Pinnacle look out




then headed to Blackbutt lookout


i decided to take the back way to Currumbin to avoid the Covid 19 checkpoint at Tweed heads but found the pivoting barrier closed.


i backtracked and headed across the border at Numinbah with no waiting
