Tuesday 13-9-22:

I headed the short distance into Coen and checked out the museum and made use of its dunny before refueling with 140 litres used for 795 Kms since Bamaga.
With Fuel and food supplies topped up i headed back to the Coen River Bridge to camp in the same spot.

Friday 16-9-22:

I headed in to Coen for supplies then headed South again down the main road until Musgrave Roadhouse where i turned east towards the coast.
I had see Running Creek mentioned so took the road North past Lilyvale station until Running Creek where i stopped at the Rangers office there and grabbed a permit to camp, $15 bucks gave me site 8 so i headed off to find it being the only one out there until later that afternoon.
the sandy sites are huge and about half a Km apart and situated in the shade of the trees overlooking the foreshore and beach about 100 metres away

Saturday 17-9-22:

After the sunrise i headed down the beach for a look, there is a large lagoon behind camp 12 filled with birdlife and possibly a snapping resident or two.

I decided to take the backtrack to Port Stuart but that was a waste of 130 Kms and a few hours of my time, even less to see since my last visit in 1995.
