Since i had to return to Cairns for car parts i raced in to JB HIFI and bought myself a DJI Mini 3 Pro Drone ... and a couple of 256 Mb microSDXC cards ... and a new portable 4 Tb Hard Drive ... and a 12V 20 watt USB-C charger ... and a 240 V 65 watt double outlet USB-C charger ... and a second USB-C lead then spent hours overnight charging it up and doing software updates.

I bought a new Clutch Master Cylinder and checked the new Clutch Slave Cylinder i carried in my spares, grabbed some clutch fluid, some new oil filters and engine oil.
I ordered a new Pentax K1 mark II from DCXpert in Melbourne.
Ordered 11:16 19-9-22. courier picked up in Melbourne 15:42 19-9-22. delivered in Cairns 14:21 20-9-22
Bit of an expensive trip down to Cairns ... lol.

I packed up camp and headed to Ellis Beach as there was a leaf covered parking spot there that i could use to fit the new clutch parts without making a mess of me or the ground.

I headed off to test out the repairs and she's as good as gold now, I had the oil and filters changed then drove back to Ellis Beach for a while, nice spot except its too shady for my solar panels

Luckily the spot i found had no "No Camping" signs so i parked up for the rest of the arvo.

Wednesday 21-9-22:
It was a nice view across to Cairns City in the morning

It was a quiet spot on grass and leaves so i took the opportunity to replace the worn out passenger side steering balljoint with one of my spares.
No grease in it though so i'll buy a grease gun and do it when i get back into Cairns.

I drove out to Yarrabah for a look driving up and over the steep road to the aboriginal community and spotted the wreck of the Elam near the shore.

I headed back to Cairns and picked up a mini grease gun and some KFC then drove out to Lake Placid and greased the balljoint.

Thursday 22-9-22:

Decided to have a chill day as it was quite a pleasant spot sitting beside the river with a faint cool breeze in the shade to keep things comfortable.

put the drone up to get a pic of my camp and practice hand held takeoff and landing.
