Monday 15-11-21:

After a leisurely walk south to try and see where Woralie creek hits the ocean I returned to camp and we packed up and drove south down the beach to see it.

We crossed and drove further down to Coongul Point for a look.
On the way back we spotted a catamaran beached in Coongul creek … not sure if could get back out easily.

We headed back to our campsite then continued north up the beach all the way back up to Awinya creek which we crossed before turning at the campsite and driving back down the beach to Woralie Creek.

Jeffs video of the drive back down the beach.

We then hit the tracks to Moon Point.

We drove up the beach to Coongul Point then walked the creek to find a way across, we found a way but didn’t need to cross it so didn’t bother and instead headed south to Moon Point before heading back to the exit and driving the tracks to Sandy Point.

We then headed out the old haul road for a look at the pier remains while enjoying a lunch break.

We followed some tracks south past some ruins of Bellerts hut then as time was getting away we found some service and booked a site at Central Station where we set up camp for the night.

We had a short day planned so stayed in camp until late then hit the track to Lake Birrabeen where Jeff went in for a swim in the crystal clear water.

We headed east coming out on the beach at Dilli Village before heading north looking for a campsite.

We found a sheltered spot behind the dunes at Wongai camping zone and set up camp.
We had 4 bars of 4G so caught up on our stuff while swatting March Flies then cooked some dinner and watched the sunset.

Got up early to check out the sunrise, lots of Dingo prints around and the pile of dead March Flies was gone.

Jeff headed home about 8 am and his share of the March Flies then attacked me so I packed and headed to Eurong for milk, bread, milkshake and an apple turnover before heading up to the Maheno to see what its like at a higher tide.

After a few pics I continued on to Indian Head but couldn’t see a way up it.
The Indigenous Ranger came and parked near me while I was out taking pics on the headland shelf but I think he was seeing if I was fishing or something as he gave me the thumbs up as I walked past.

I continued on to the Champagne Pools but the tide was a bit low for the waves to crash over so I headed up to Waddy Point and set up camp on the “beachfront”
