Heading towards Warburton i stopped in at the Redwood Forest ... back when i lived near here we used to head out there to pick mushrooms but it was just an unknown plantation then.

Next up i drove down to Tidal River, the furthest South i can drive.

Then i headed to a free camp at Turtons Falls in the forest not that far away, only about 40 kms .... i followed the GPS route to get there ... what a mission, mud, quarry walls, undriven forestry gaps and rough tracks in the dark to finally get there several hours later.

Saw some info so thought i'd take a drive out to have a look at the worlds tallest tree only to find it had been cut down .....
in 1884 !! :roll:
