Governors Head Lookout overlooks a penguin colony over on Bowen Island.
Bowen Island is a sandstone island lying 250 metres off the tip of the Bherwerre Peninsula at the entrance to Jervis Bay, on the coast of New South Wales, Australia. The island, however, is not part of the state of New South Wales but of the Jervis Bay Territory, administered by Australia's federal government.

on the way back i spotted the Python again and grabbed a pic at 1/2 a second as it was moving ... you can see the different speeds the body is moving as it headed off 8-)

I headed out past the boat ramp construction to see why it was closed [ new walkway to the rock wall ]

Image

stepping down the rock wall one of the large rocks tipped over sending me down in the rocks ... scratched up the leg a bit , hurt my hand a bit and my upper thigh shows no marks [expected it to be purple] but is very very sore.
broke a section out of my Pentax 15-30/2.8 lens leaving a big hole in the side ... still works though!

I limped back to Murrays Beach along the shore then back to the car and headed off.

a little bit further on is Stoney Creek ... would hate to try and dodge the rocks to get into the creek in a boat.

Next i took a drive out Ellmoos rd which gives some occasional views of St Georges Basin but all tracks end in private property so you cant see much at all.

I then left the Territory and found a spot to park and walked back down to get a pic or three as you cant pull up beside the sign,
I didn't see it on the way in as its hidden by a big National Parks sign and then you have to pick which lane you have to be in so i didn't notice the sign.

I had another look at St Georges Basin from Old Erowal Bay

Then pulled up for the night at Sussex Inlet Rest stop
Was still pretty sore and can feel an Egg on my thigh bigger than my hand but walking is still ok ... sleeping, not so much as it hurts to touch.
